What Injury Does Brock Wright Have?

Unfortunately, Wright, who missed three of Detroit’s final four regular-season games due to hip injuries, suffered a broken forearm during Detroit’s playoff victory against Tampa Bay and is likely out for the remainder of 2023. Wright played second tight end behind rookie Sam LaPorta throughout his time with Detroit this year.

He earned 423 offensive snaps and made 13 catches for 91 yards and one touchdown during their 2015/16 campaign, most significantly contributing to their victory against Tampa Bay with an important 29-yard reception that provided key momentum during a touchdown drive in the second half.

Who Is Brock Wright?

Born November 27th 1998 and hailing from Cypress Texas, Brock Wright began his education journey at Cy-Fair High School where his exceptional football abilities impressed many scouts and college recruiters alike. As such, Brock soon found himself receiving many offers to play college ball due to this outstanding performance on the field. He attained a place on the University of Notre Dame’s football team, where he dedicated four seasons to playing.

During his time at Notre Dame, Wright actively engaged in college football, showcasing his skills in a total of 48 games, out of which he started in 11. His performance on the field included seven receptions totalling 78 yards and scoring one touchdown.

Wright signed with the Detroit Lions after being undrafted as an undrafted free agent following the 2021 NFL Draft, activating him from their practice squad on October 23, 2021, for their week seven meeting against Los Angeles Rams; eventually officially added to active roster on November 8. On December 5, 2021 against Minnesota Vikings he recorded his maiden NFL touchdown receiving 23-yard pass from Jared Goff!

Is Brock Wright Playing This Week?

Brock Wright won’t be in uniform as Lion Mania sweeps over the entire Detroit and Michigan media market, including the top MI online casinos. This weekend, the Lions will travel to Santa Clara in California to play against San Francisco 49ers – who are heavily favored to make another Super Bowl run and win their sixth championship ever – who were without tight end Tim Wright during last season.

To help cover for Wright’s absence and help cover for Ertz’s departure on practice squad roster of Lions team. Offensive Coordinator Brad Johnson is trying to catch him up to speed to help fill the void that Brock Wright leaves. If the Lions advance to the Super Bowl, it is still highly doubtful that Brock Wright will recover in time to suit up.
