Kennedy Jr. was raised in his family homes located in  McLean, Virginia, and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He was only 9 years old when his uncle President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in the year 1963. On the other hand, his dad was assassinated while he was running for president in the 1968 Democratic presidential primaries. At that point, he was only 14 years old.
