Warner Bros. Discovery recently announced the reboot of Harry Potter in the form of s television series, leaving Potterheads divided. While some fans are excited about the series, which promises to be ‘a faithful adaptation’ of the books, others believe that the iconic films and cast members can not be replaced in any way.
The series will feature seven seasons, each focussing on one book from the series, and will be released on Max, formerly known as HBO Max. While the cast for the show is yet to be announced by Warner Bros. Discovery, rumors of the new casting are doing the rounds on TikTok.

A TikTok user, who claims to have ‘exclusive information’ about the Harry Potter TV series, has shared the names of actors who could be cast as the major characters in the series. Here is the complete list:
Toby Woolf as Harry Potter
British actor Toby Woolf is rumored to be following in the footsteps of Daniel Radcliffe to portray the titular wizard. The young actor has previously worked in the shows The Last Post, Summer of Rockets, and Pistol. He has also appeared in the 2019 film Rare Beats.
Joshua Pickering as Ron Weasley
If rumors on TikTok are to be believed, Joshua Pickering will take over from Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley. Pickering is known for his role of Jack in A Discovery of Witches and John in Peter Pan and Wendy.
Bronte Carmichael as Hermione
Bronte Carmichael could play the role of Hermione Granger, replacing the much-loved Emma Watson. Carmichael is a British actress, who has appeared in a number of shows earlier. She starred as Mon Mothma’s daughter Leida in Andor, and as Madeline Robin in Disney’s Christopher Robin. The actress also appeared as one of Lord Varys’ little birds in Game of Thrones and in the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations.
Adam Driver as Severus Snape
Legendary actor Alan Rickman made Severus Snape immortal in the hearts of fans with his power-packed performance in the films. The role is now rumored to be offered to another great actor, Adam Driver.
Tom Felton as Lucius Malfoy
The insider on TikTok has reported that Tom Felton, who played the role of Draco Malfoy to perfection in the film series, could star in the TV show as his father, Lucius Malfoy. If the news turns out to be true, fans would be happy to see the actor return to the franchise in a new avatar.
Blair Underwood as Albus Dumbledore
As per rumors, Blair Underwood could be seen as the headmaster of Hogwarts. The 58-year-old actor has previously impressed audiences with his performances in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., When They See Us, and Three Woman.
Helen Mirren as Minerva McGonagall
Minerva McGonagall is one of the most-loved characters in the series and Maggie Smith gave a memorable performance as the Transfiguration professor. Helen Mirren, the acclaimed actress who is currently starring in 1923, is rumored to bring the character to life in the television adaptation.
