Another exciting season of ITV’s Grace has come to an end. The British crime drama is based on Peter James’ bestselling novel series and follows Brighton-based Detective Roy Grace, who is dealing with the disappearance of his wife while working on a variety of different cases.
The third season of the show comprised only three episodes, with the finale having been aired on April 2nd. Audiences are now wondering if and when they will get to see more episodes of the series in a new season. Read on to find out.
Will Grace Return with Season 4?
Roy Grace will surely return to solve some new cases as Grace has been renewed for season 4 by ITV. The renewal announcement was made in January 2023, even before the premiere of the second season. The unprecedented ratings and popularity of the show led to its quick renewal.
The fourth season will premiere sometime in 2024; however, the official date has not been announced yet. The filming for the upcoming installment is set to begin in April this year. Lead star John Simm confirmed that the show will return in 2024 with a post on Instagram.
The actor posted about the season 3 finale on April 2 while also teasing a new season and wrote, “GRACE. “Not dead yet” based on the novel by @peterjamesuk. The Season 3 finale tonight at 8pm on @itv @itvxofficial. Hope you enjoy. We’re off to start filming 4 more. See you next year!”
What will Grace Season 4 be About?
The upcoming season will be the longest so far, with four episodes. Four novels by Peter James will be covered in the next instrument, including Dead Man’s Time, Want You Dead, You Are Dead, and Love You Dead. As of now, 19 novels have been published in the Grace series, so there is still a lot of material available for a few more seasons.
The official description for the series reads, “Grace follows the Brighton-based Detective Roy Grace, who has hit rock bottom in his life. His wife Sandy disappeared six years ago, and Roy spends all his time investigating cold cases. Meanwhile, his different ways of working are being questioned by his bosses, risking his job. However, things look set to change when his colleague Detective Glenn Branson asks for his help on a difficult case.”
Who will Star in Grace Season 4?
The main cast is expected to return to the show for the fourth season, including John Simm as Roy Grace, Richie Campbell as Glenn Branson, Craig Parkinson as Norman Potting, Laura Elphinstone as Bella Moy, Zoë Tapper as Cleo Morey, and Brad Morrison as Nick Nicholl.
The cast will also include Sam Hoare as Cassian Pewe, Alexander Cobb as Kevin Spinella, and Clare Calbraith as Sandy. Simm recently talked about his character in an interview and said, “It’s nice to play a genuinely good character. Grace wants to root out evil. It’s goodies and baddies, isn’t it? He is appalled by the things that happen and wants to make them right.”
